With the liberalization of the Indian economy and the consequent spurt in trade, the lack of port and logistics infrastructure was greatly felt. At the same time there were no companies catering to this requirement. RESA stood up to this challenge and a modest beginning was made in May 1995 with the incorporation of the company managed by a core team of professionals.
